Acceptable Use Policy for Info Link Customers

Info Link was established to provide access to the organizations and services provided by the Internet. To this extent, Info Link Inc. has adopted the following policies. It is the responsibility of Info Link Inc. customers who have access to the Internet to comply with this Acceptable Use Policy. These policies are listed in summarized form below.

Info Link Policy

It is the policy of Info Link to provide its subscribers access to the broadest possible number of organizations connected to the Internet. With the exception of information specifically authored by or on behalf of Info Link, Info Link does not develop or publish, nor does Info Link review, censor, or edit the materials and information which are accessible through Info Link service. Info Link also does not develop, review, censor, or edit the materials and information available on other networks connected to Info Link. The persons and organizations, including Info Link subscribers, who publish materials and information which are accessible through the Info Link service networks are solely responsible for the content of such materials and information and are solely responsible to know and comply with all laws applicable to the publication of such materials and information. Info Link does not accept responsibility for the content of the materials and information published by others which are accessible through Info Link service networks and does not accept responsibility for the violation of any laws resulting from such publication.

Guidelines

It is the responsibility of all members and others who have access to Info Link service networks to:

• (i) use Info Link services and facilities in a manner which does not violate any applicable laws or regulations. Transmission, storage, or presentation of any information, data or material in violation of any United States federal, State or City law is prohibited.
  
  
• (ii) respect the privacy of other users, and to not intentionally seek information on, obtain copies of or modify files, other data or passwords belonging to other users without permission;
  
  
• (iii) respect the legal protection provided by copyright, trademark, licenses and other laws to programs, data and documents;
  
  
• (iv) minimize unauthenticated or anonymous access accounts and the transmission or distribution of messages or articles from those accounts;
  
  
• (v) use Info Link services and facilities in a manner which does not interfere with or disrupt other network users, services or equipment. Such interference or disruption includes, but is not limited to:
  
  
  • wide-scale distribution of messages to inappropriate forums or mailing lists,
  • propagation of computer worms or viruses or other illegal software
  
  
• (vi) use of the network to make unauthorized entry to other computational, information or communications devices or resources. This includes unauthorized security probing activities or other attempts to evaluate the security integrity of a network or host system without permission.
  
  
• (vii) Harassing, threatening or obscene material is unacceptable. Unsolicited advertising is only allowed where explicitly noted.
  
  
• (viii) Pornography and sex-related merchandising are prohibited.

Abuse

Any attempt to undermine, slander, libel, threaten or cause harm to Info Link's customers, employees and property, or to the company directly, is grounds for immediate termination without refund. In addition, any such attempts will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Limited Liability

Info Link is not responsible for any interruption in services, local or remote to Info Link. The customer agrees that Info Link shall take no responsibility for any damages, including inability to access services and/or loss of service.

The customer agrees that any use of info Link resources through the customer's account is solely the customer's responsibility. This includes the responsibility for all charges incurred to the account.

If Info Link becomes aware that an Info Link subscriber is in violation of the law or this Acceptable Use Policy, Info Link reserves the right to impose disciplinary action up to and including, the expulsion of the subscriber from Info Link, termination of services, and forfeiture of all dues and fees paid to date. Evidence of illegal or prohibited activities may be disclosed to law enforcement authorities.

Info Link reserves the right to modify this policy at any time. Any acceptable use policy modifications will be effective when posted on www.info-link.net.
